Understand what PageNerve stores—and what stays on your computer.
Desktop audits run locally. Website enquiries and account details are kept separate from your crawl projects, and we do not ask for CMS passwords or unrestricted analytics access.
Website enquiries
We only ask for what we need to reply.
The audit-request form asks for your contact details, website, approximate size, service interest, and optional context.
Do not submit passwords, customer records, analytics credentials, or sensitive personal information.
Your account
Account details stay separate from your audit projects.
Your account supports sign-in, protected Direct Beta downloads, Private Beta access, and connected-device controls. Microsoft Store Free does not require a PageNerve account. Crawl projects stay on your computer.
PageNerve stores a protected representation of your password, not a readable copy.
After you log in for the protected Direct Beta, PageNerve issues a 10-minute grant and records exact grant and authorized GET/HEAD response metadata. It does not store raw IP, user-agent, or Range headers in this ledger, and an authorized response is not proof of a completed download. Microsoft Store Free uses Microsoft delivery instead.
An explicitly granted IVRIS operator must confirm a current password and authenticator code to view limited account, licence, device, and authorized body-bearing GET data for support, security, and aggregate reporting. Each access creates an append-only security event containing a pseudonymous actor identifier, operation, outcome, timestamp, and limited security metadata. A reason is included only where that operation records one; offline lifecycle reasons are represented by a fingerprint. The event never contains passwords, full licence keys, authenticator secrets, tokens, raw filters, IP addresses, user agents, or audit-project content.
Your account shows masked licence details, access status, and the devices connected to your Private Beta licence.
Verification and password-reset links expire and stop working after use.
Crawled domains, URLs, Search Console files, project evidence, CMS credentials, and exports are not uploaded to the account service.
Audit projects
Only share project files when a service requires them.
If you hire PageNerve for an audit, we agree what information is needed before you share it.
We use only the domain, exclusions, priorities, and limited exports needed for the agreed work.
Service-project evidence and review notes remain separate from the public website and account system.
Your handoff contains the approved actions, useful evidence, limitations, and verification notes.
You decide which recommendations or corrections reach your website unless a separate implementation scope says otherwise.
Retention
We keep information only as long as it is needed.
